I've taken a circuitous journey over the last 10 years that has seen me own a BBQ sauce company, compete in championship BBQ and steak events and dive headfirst into live fire cooking at large events. I've spent more time in the kitchen than i care to admit, but it is that passion that has gotten me involved with the great family of BBQ enthusiasts who enjoy it as much as i do.
I continue to learn from every event and gathering I attend and hope that the learning and expanding of my BBQ knowledge never ends.

Ace first experienced bonfires and the love of barbecue while visiting family on Central Texas ranches. The smell and crackling sound of mesquite, along with uncles telling stories around the fire, sparked his enduring interest. Though competition BBQ is fast-paced today, it's the appreciation of the old ways that shaped him. Ace hesitates to call himself a "Pitmaster" because he hasn't yet reached the level his uncles have, but he aspires to get there someday. Being a B&B Teammate for five years is one of his greatest honors. Ace believes in the product, which has brought success on the competition trail and even greater happiness seeing family and friends' smiles after a long cook. Stay blessed, and keep your fires lit.
