Are you used to grilling on a gas grill? Grilling over charcoal is something that takes time to get used to.

It’s something to experiment with and see what works and what doesn’t.

Some may notice an ammonia smell, which is something that raises an eyebrow when it comes to grilling food.

What you need to know about grilling with B&B Charcoal.

It really matters what you type of fire starter you use when you light the briquets. Also, whether or not if you used a Charcoal Chimney.

Our briquets are made with 100% Post Oak. It comes exclusively from our oak lump process; we save the smaller pieces of lump and process it into our briquets. We add a little corn starch binder to keep it all together. We never use industrial scrap waste wood or chemicals in our products.

LP gas has its advantages in time but not in taste. Ultimately gas adds nothing to the flavor of the food you cook. Charcoal lump and briquets will be the third ingredient (behind your base proteins and then your rubs/marinade) but it will be the first taste you perceive. Not all charcoal is created equal, quality matters.
