Keto Maple Habanero Wings

INGREDIENTS

Maple Habanero Sauce:

  • (1/2) Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • (1/4) Cup Monk fruit sweetener
  • (1/2) Cup Sugar Free Maple Syrup
  • (1/4) Cup cornstarch
  • Peppered Habanero, to taste
  • Smoked Cherrywood Sea Salt, to taste
  • Rosy Cheeks BBQ Rub, to taste


INSTRUCTIONS

Prepping Sauce

  1. Mix all ingredients into a sauce pan and cook on medium until contents boil (Make sure to mix the cornstarch with COLD water so it mixes and doesn’t clump)
  2. Reduce to low to simmer; taste and adjust to liking (Heat and Sweet)
  3. Let it cool to a warm before saucing wings

Cooking Wings

  1. Pat wings dry and spread out on cookie sheet
  2. Season with Sea Salt and let sit for a few minutes
  3. Season wings with Rosy Cheeks to liking
  4. Heat grill to about 250°
  5. Smoke for about 35 – 45 minutes and check IT; if close to 165° crank up the heat
  6. Crank your heat up to about 350 – 375° to crisp up the skin; cook to an IT of at least 165°
  7. Remove from grill and toss in Maple Habanero wings sauce
